Our physicians provide 24/7 care to hospitalized patients, working 12 hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off, no call, with schedule flexibility. Inpatient hospital internal medicine experience is preferred. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Average starting salary for new grad is $185k + approx $40 in benefits. Current schedule is 7on/7off Monday thru Sunday Day time staffing built for average of 15 patients per day. New patients (admissions + consults) varies - as low as 3 total/day summer to 8 total/day in winter per daytime service. Currently cover and are defacto ICU/intensivists. The ICU/CCU is an open unit. There is no Pulm/Critical Care service. We have one Pulmonary medicine physician, and he usually asks us to manage his ventilated patients.

Patient census of usually 16-18. max is 20, extra person comes in if more than 20. 1 -3 admissions during the day and 2-8 per night. Salary range is $165k to $172k base (depending upon experience) with 10 % incentive bonus ( RVU + EBM + Patient satisfaction.) 160hrs vacation + 48 hrs personal + 40 hrs CME + 12 days sick time + 6 holidays. Hospital located in Beautiful Pennsylvania City with a population of 30,000 residents. Group of 9 adding 3 more due to expansion of services. 240 beds with 12 bed ICU coverage. Will be responsible for managing ventilators and intubations. Monday- Friday only, rotating 8 hours shifts, 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Weekends are 12 hours rotating shifts. No Call. 20 patients per day, thou will drop to 15 when new Hospitalists start. Starting pay is $210k plus $20k sign on bonus, and $25k RVU per year. Full benefits including Malpractice, Tail coverage, Health Insurance polices and retirement accounts.
